  The Tanglewood schedule for the weekend should bring big crowds. Friday, July 1, kicks off with Elvis Costello, followed by Robert Plant and Alison Krause on July 2, the Pacifica Quartet on July 2, and James Taylor on Monday, July 3rd. All great for our show!

There is no better way to start your sales rolling than with an ad in our show guide. Our show grounds are expansive, and when our guests arrive, they open the show guide to see who's who, and there you are!

 A great photo will guide them to your booth and guarantee that you will always be front and center and easy to find.

PURCHASE TICKETS FOR YOUR CLIENTS 

Exhibitors may purchase discount tickets for $8.00 each regular adult admission is $15.00. If you invite clients, we strongly suggest you reserve/purchase tickets for them in advance.

SHOW SCHEDULE

MOVE IN & SET-UP

Friday, June 30: 9 am – 5 pm NO ARRIVALS AFTER 5 PM. SET UP UNTIL 7 PM. No Sat Morning Set-up

SHOW HOURS

Saturday, July 1: 10 am – 6 pm SHOW
Sunday, July 2: 10 am – 6 pm SHOW
Monday, July 3: 10 am – 5 pm SHOW

 

SHOW BREAKDOWN

Monday, July 3: 5 pm – 9 pm Vehicles will not be brought on-site until the public has left the grounds.

 

Access to the grounds 8:30 am Daily.

All Vehicles must be removed from the site by 9 am.

 

MOVE-IN: REGISTRATION FRIDAY MORNING

Upon arrival, please pull up to the front entrance to register. You will see our banner. Most of you can pull your vehicles up to your booths to unload. AAM staff will direct you to your booth.

 

DIRECTIONS

Ski Butternut is located at 380 State Rd., Route 23 in Great Barrington, Mass, and just 10 minutes from the intersection at Rte 7.

 ACCOMMODATIONS:

 July 4th is the busiest holiday weekend in the Berkshires. If you still need to make your reservations, make them now. For reasonable accommodations, look in the town of Lee, which is about 20 minutes away and has several motels, followed by Pittsfield, about 35 minutes away, or try Airbnb.com outside the immediate area.

There is free camping for exhibitors on the Butternut site. There are no showers and no hook-ups. Bathrooms are located in the lower lodge. Showers are available at the local community center just around the corner in Great Barrington for $5.00/day. Community Center info: www.berkshiresouth.org

If you plan on camping at Butternut, please sign up for a camping authorization pass at set-up. 

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 ARTISTS IN THE LARGE WHITE TENTS

TENTED EXHIBITOR ELECTRICITY ALERT: Maximum wattage is 500 watts

FANS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE TENTS DUE TO INSUFFICIENT POWER.

You are responsible for opening & closing the tent sides daily.

Do NOT Remove Tent Sides; instead, roll Back Flaps


ARTISTS IN THE UPPER LODGE

The upper lodge has carpeting. air-conditioning, and restrooms

 ARTISTS IN THE LOWER LODGE

The floor is concrete, and the space will remain cool.

 ARTISTS OUTDOORS

**Please remember to bring shims if you are outdoors or in the tent due to some uneven ground conditions.**

 

BOOTH SIGNS & BADGES

Each Exhibitor will receive a booth sign and two badges. The second badge will read “Artist Assistant.” unless a name is specified HERE. 

 

CELL SERVICE & WIFI

Cellular service varies depending on where you are on the grounds and your service provider. Verizon works very well in most of the area. Telephones are located in both lodges. Public WiFi is available on-site.

 

ELECTRICITY

OUTDOOR BOOTHS: Electricity is available for demonstrating artists only.  

TENTED BOOTHS:  500 watts of electricity included. 500 Watts Max. No Fans allowed.

 UPPER & LOWER LODGES: 500 watts of electricity included.

 

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

An EMT will be on-site in the building adjacent to the ticket booth.

 

PARKING

You will receive parking instructions upon arrival. The upper lodge's indoor and outdoor artists can park at the rear of the lodge and up the mountain during the show. Please do not block dumpsters.

There is NO PARKING on the show grounds behind the booths.

 

RESTROOMS:

Restrooms, water fountains, and phones are located inside the upper lodge and the lower lodge.

 

SALES TAX/ MA

Mass Sales Tax is 6.25%. All participating artists should register for sales tax certificates. Registration can take 4 to 6 weeks or longer. Artists may register online or by mail. Request the application, and if or when you receive it Keep a copy. Call 617-887-6367 for an application.

If registering online, visit https://www.mass.gov/dor/. Under Businesses, follow the link labeled Registered, Filing, and Reporting, then Help & Resources and click on Starting & Registering a Business. Artists registering online will need form TA-1. If you apply and don’t receive the certificate before the show, do not be concerned - as long as you have completed the application.

Clothing under $175 per item is fully exempt from the state sales tax.

 

SECURITY

 24 Hour Security will be provided. The upper lodge will be locked overnight. Please take the usual precautions in securing your booth. Exhibitors are solely responsible for their exhibits, artwork, and personal belongings.
