Artworks Great Barrington is a new, juried outdoor art festival debuting at the height of the Berkshire summer season. The event will take place on the expansive grounds of the Great Barrington Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), prominently located on Route 7 / Main Street, adjacent to the area’s largest shopping plaza, with 25,000 cars per day passing the VFW show site. The anchor supermarket is Guidos, the high-end equivalent of Whole Foods.
Artworks is both a high-quality art event and a major community fundraiser, with a portion of all proceeds supporting the Great Barrington VFW—an institution that consistently receives strong community support.
While this is a first-year event, it is the sequel to the historical 25-year-old July Berkshires Arts Festival, produced by the same organizers with a nationally recognized record of success in the Berkshires and beyond.
Our mission is to expand community support, participation, and attendance. August, the height of the tourist season, brings a new group of tourists to the Berkshires.
This event will have a different format: in addition to a juried arts festival, it will include a separate community Markers Market, allowing local artists and creatives to participate at a lower cost and help support the event.

With VFW support, our show production costs are reduced, allowing us to offer lower booth fees. 2026 July 4th Berkshires exhibitors will receive an extra $50 discount and no application fee.
